About Edward
Neuroscience Informed Education for Pain, Awareness, and Healing
Edward is an award winning neuroscience educator and writer with eight years of clinical experience and a Masters degree in Clinical, Social and Cognitive Neuroscience with Distinction. His work focuses on making complex ideas about pain, body awareness, attention, and behaviour clear and accessible for people who want to understand their experience and support their own recovery.
His academic achievements include receiving the Elsevier Award for Highest Overall Mark during his undergraduate physiotherapy training and the Academic Achievement Award from the School of Health and Medical Sciences at City St Georges University of London for achieving the highest overall mark in his neuroscience Masters degree.
Alongside his academic training, Edward has completed intensive mindfulness practice and brings a reflective, compassionate approach to his work. This combination of neuroscience, mindfulness, and clinical experience gives him a unique perspective on how pain is influenced by meaning, attention, learning, and the mind body relationship.
Edward has worked clinically across leading hospitals and clinical environments, including Kings College NHS Foundation Trust, Imperial College NHS Foundation Trust, and The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. These experiences have deepened his understanding of persistent pain and the many challenges people face when seeking clarity and support.
Today, Edward focuses on education, science communication, and speaking. He helps individuals, clinicians, and organisations make sense of pain through evidence informed learning, practical tools, and clear explanation. His work aims to bridge research and lived experience in a way that is grounded, human, and empowering.
